Just Made the Deadline - American Idol Audition

Ok people, I know I said I was going to audition for American Idol - sorry it took me this long to make it actually happen, but (thanks to the amazing patience of my girlfriend) I picked and rehearsed Maroon 5's "Sunday Morning."

I just went through the whole process on Myspace to submit it - putting this as my "why should I be the next American Idol/bio":

When I was 12 I was told, "Take care of your voice - you'll sing one day." I played trombone through college and moved to LA to play and sing, but promptly got a job doing absolutely NOTHING with music.

It's been a long time comin, and it took me getting laid off to realize that I need to pursue music full time to not go stir-crazy. I should be the next American Idol so I can share my music with the world - this would give me the freedom to pursue music full time!

Then I re-recorded it like 50 times, because there was a lag and there was a time limit of 40 seconds of airtime. Meaning I had to say the song title and sing the first verse in under 40 seconds... basically, there was NO space between each line :P

Apparently it takes 24 hours for them to decide that it's not spam, so as soon as I have access to it, I'll update this post!

Wish me luck...

UPDATE 10.07.10

Here's the audition! (They couldn't have picked a more flattering still... :D)

Here's a link if it's not playing properly... (and a link the same video with my bio)

Now we wait!
